Station data for temperature markets

The station record for the whole earth, with its clock.

Observations, running extremes, settlements and forecast members for the stations that settle temperature markets, and for any station the public sources publish, from Miami to Singapore. Each record carries its source and its measured delay. Built by traders who use it.

Sources

Every source, with its clock.

A reading is only as good as the time it arrives. Each record carries its source and its receipt time, and the delays below are measured on our own collectors, not quoted from a brochure.

The record

What you get.

One API over the whole record, with the conventions a settlement actually follows. The daily climate report is built from five-minute means, so the running extreme is the rounded five-minute mean, never a single minute.

KMIA, 2026-10-24, local standard time. The one-minute record as 288 five-minute means (red), the running high (dashed), and the two-degree bands the market trades. Low 71 at 04:20, high 84 at 13:55. Source: NWS ASOS via the public archive.

Observations by source

Every reading kept under its own source and station, never merged, so you can see the same minute from two instruments and their disagreement.

Running extremes

The day's high and low as the market will read them, updated as readings land, with the time each extreme was set.

Settlements

The climate report value per station day, the time it was issued, and any correction after it.

Forecast members

Each model run as recorded, with its arrival time, so a forecast is never quoted as if it had existed before it did.

API

One API over the whole record.

REST with an API key, JSON throughout, every timestamp in UTC and every station day on the station's own standard-time calendar. The reference describes the contract the service is built against; SDKs are generated from it.
